A discussion of the inversities, adversities, and perversities.
No surprise that everything has changed, is changing, and will change. It doesn’t matter the topic, subject or situation. Politics, economy, personal, local and global; it’s all happening… “All Things Must Pass. Of course, my thesis it doesn’t matter what is changing. What matters is that you (within) are changing and therefore will flow (pass through the I of the needle) with all the changes that surround you. It seems the level of change is quickening; this week’s post are some random thoughts to perniciously prod your path of change.
Death, Karma and other Oddities
To start let’s to jump into the deep end of the pool. The following came across my feed this past week.
Buddhism, Zen, Tao & Meditation
[Are You Ready to Cross the River of Death?]
All humans ultimately die.
This is an unchanging truth.
So, are you prepared to die?
Perhaps you aren’t ready…ready to face death.
Death…is an event everyone must encounter.
All you’ve worked hard to accumulate in life will be of no help in death.
Except for karma and spiritual practice, nothing else is needed at death.
You have to leave everything behind.
You can take nothing with you on the path to the afterlife.
Then why do you struggle so hard to accumulate more until death?
Karma is everything you’ve said and done.
If you create good karma, you will be reborn into favorable circumstances; if you make bad karma, you will be reborn into unfortunate ones.
So, while you’re alive, accumulate good karma as much as possible.
If you amass a lot of bad karma, hell will be the only place left for you to go.
The best preparation for death is to engage in spiritual practice.
The more you practice, the better your next life will be.
And if you’re fortunate, you may be able to cut off the suffering of samsara forever.
Therefore, to avoid the torments of hell, do two things while you’re still alive:
Accumulate good karma and pursue the path of truth.
All other endeavors will only lead you to a painful cycle of rebirth, including hell.
Now, while you’re alive, prepare for the world after death…
Before it’s too late…
For eternal happiness, I walk this path of asceticism…
These are the words of the Buddha.
Prepare for death.
Life is short, fleeting, and meaningless.
Do not let yourself be deceived any longer by the mirage of your life.
A Short Cut…
Almost 50 years ago after reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, (W.Y. Evan-Wentz, 1957). I latched on to the idea that Death is one of two masterful teachers. The shortcut (pun intended) is to experience death before you die… thus be gratefully dead… and stay dead… enjoying the realms of heaven, hells… and beyond.
Eventually understood that karma happens to folks, for folks so that karma can resolve. I.e., be released and pass-through folks. Thus by understanding pain, suffering and going through it, is an opportunity to release from its bondage. Release your karma… let it drop! Why are you holding it so tight? Who is holding it? Karma is simply an opportunity to change… if you look at it right.
Of course, going through my Dead phase, a favorite song is Scarlet Begonias. To which the lyrics have become more subtle and sublime as death passes. https://www.dead.net/song/scarlet-begonias
Laying Down the Tracks
The process is basically asking a question, i.e., wondering. It is a straight-forward, simple, intentional, intuitive, and imaginal process. The trick is determining and articulating the question. And then the flushing out the answer. I.e. putting a bit of meat on the bones.
After, the conceptual ideas or imaginations are laid down. The next piece is asking how is this possible? This is where theories are developed. And at some point, theories (whether scientific, poetic, symbolic or otherwise) are tested for validity (there are varying types of validity, such as face value, statistic, generalizability, experiential, etc.) but more importantly for applicability and general utility. Next is prototyping and the development of the application. It is application of some real world pragmatic utilitarian use. This could be an application, manufacturing or the emotional appeal such as poetic lyrics set to music resonating with a stadium full of folks, etc. Essentially this is setting or laying down the railroad tracks or path of what might become reality, dimension and experience. Of course, “gardening” is the same framework but a different metaphor.
Scarcity
Scarcity is the individual ego of self-awareness. While consciousness expands our awareness of an abundant unity that is beyond the confines of the separated individual ego. When we expand our consciousness, we are aware of more opportunity, diversity and an abundance. It is basically moving from the mindset of “what can I get,” to “what can I give.” It is like what John F. Kennedy questioned. “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country?” This question dethrones the ego and consciousness from the center of being. To being tools in which to navigate existence and change as we are in and part the realm of the divine. Perhaps now seeing that we are co-creators in reference to and relationship with Gaia and all beings? Are we beginning to understand that it is about our relationship. Things such as, “What if love is the new money?” https://lovechangegrow.com/what-if-love-is-the-new-money/
What is Ascension?
Is ascension it within or with out (external)? Trick question, it is both and beyond. Usually, we think of ascension as a process of rising and going beyond. But what is rising and going beyond, when you are in space? And is that inner space or outer space one refers to? What is singularity… is it the point of collapse or the edge between the known and unknown? Do we oscillate (vibrate) between the pulsing collapse into the material of “I am” and the expanse of the “all is?” And how fast do we oscillate… at 22 trillion times per second or by the daily solar cycle or a 28-day lunar cycle? Are we knowing we can tune our frequency most anywhere along an infinite spectrum… either specifically and or inclusively… perhaps just a matter of conscious bandwidth (one’s ability and capacity)? Is in the new out and out is the new in? By-the-way… what the hell is space… it could be heaven, or it could be hell…lol.
Is Ascension Like an OS Upgrade?
What is the transformation of the old into something new. The thought that ascension happens within. Which means perhaps that the physical body stays the same, yet the consciousness emerges beyond the physical body. And yet remains in the body, while the body is incarnated on the planet. Is a consciousness the software operating system of the body and OS upgrades are available? Perhaps we require a reset and reboot for the upgrades of conscious to become operational. Maybe we will have wireless Bluetooth capacity (telepathy and other psychic capacity). Like your cell phone, the same but it has more features and capacity than it did before. Lee Carroll, aka Kryon notes the activation of the 24 pair of chromosomes. While folks like Bruce Lipton and others challenge accepted academic science. Another early thought pioneer is Dolores Cannon’s idea of earth separating into two earths. The present earth and the evolving new earth. A splitting of the earth into two earths and the opportunity is for you to consciously decide on which earth to be on. Eventually, both will evolve into two different dimensions. Is this like cell division on a grander scale? https://www.nature.com/scitable/definition/cell-division-47/
Karma
Karma is not new, it’s old. But the application and the scale have new aspects. There is the usual individual scale. But with “unity,” we now have awareness at the planetary and perhaps the galactic scale, which is new. As for applications, the old notion is that karma happens to us as a result. There is the less known notion that karma is a lesson, i.e., the opportunity to learn and change. And emerging notion that by going through, into, or feeling the pain and suffering of karma is also an opportunity to release the energy and bonds of karma. The ability to go through and release the bonds are karma easily accessible but take a bit of expanded perspective or consciousness. It is simply the idea that history changes with new insight and interpretations. Both in history and therapy and simple change of perspective can immediately change long-held beliefs. Such as the change from the “scientific” earth centered to a solar centered universe. Or the new age concept of healing gatherings of folks, may offer the release of long-held ancestral and planetary karma bonds. This is simply a matter of scale from individual to unity consciousness. And a matter of an upgrade to more capacity for individuals, unity (groups) and planetary consciousness. It is just an expansion of the expression of love.
Consciousness
Consciousness is going through an upgrade of the software operating system that subconsciously attend to and was limited to the biological form. That is primarily geared to instinctual reptilian and mammalian levels of individual and species survival. And now we are going through a consciousness upgrade to realizing who we are, why we are here and how to cooperate and collaborate with ourselves, each other and our environment. Thus, learning about our relationships, interactions and energetics of being and existing. All it is that we are in a process or progression of emerging beyond our former level of functioning.
Replication Versus Creation
There are two parallel processes. On Gaia, the planet of dualism, opposites and choice, perhaps the first was the creation process. An innocence of just being. But in the environment (planet) of dichotomy presents the opportunity of awareness and separation; light/dark, yin/yang, fear/love, male/female, etc. Basically, a planet or school of free-will enables the development of awareness and knowledge. Which provides the opportunity of constant interaction and thus change. Whether we label it as a struggle, battle, or “rub.” So have we come to the “finishing school and ready to graduate?” Do we now have the capacity to be conscious creators? Therefore, can explore, investigate, and be creators, the creation, and create?
It seems that we are in the throes of the battle/change of deciding the which parallel process to pursue and use. Replication like a form of viral replication, i.e., “re-creation, an endless recreation… which eventually becomes a rather boring hell.” The idea of viral replication which is essentially a colonization process. Versus a process of mixing and the creation of a “sexual” process of conception, division, differentiation and diversity which is results in enhanced stability, resiliency and growth on an expanded and long-term scale. Sexual process of conception and resulting of a forming of a new being.
In a sense, we have two differing yet parallel processes going on concurrently which seems like a battle of consciousness. One is a viral replication process. And the other is a sexual conception process of a new being. But what if, we can use both? The replication process to scale our planetary needs of being (life-enhancing food, water, shelter, energy). While using the creative process to explore, develop, protect and create our heavenly being? An upgrade of consciousness to being in love enables the “divine directive” to continue beyond… the beyond of the?
Ground Hog Day
It’s the phenomena of “Ground Hog Day.” It’s not about the ground hog… it’s about the day! If every day, you wake up thinking you are a ground hog… it’s just another day. But if you wake up as the day, you realize the opportunity to be… a ground hog, something else or to be compassionate and graceful… or not. The day (light) loves whatever it sees…. be it the ground hog… or whatever. And the night (dark) loves whatever it holds. One sees, the other holds (feels)… both experience.
Are you Experienced?
A reference to the album “Are You Experienced” The Jimi Hendrick Experience, 1967.
It’s not what happens, it’s what is experienced. Is experience and initiation, an awakening? An emergent enfoldment of something that has not been experienced or known before. Whether it is the first taste of chocolate, the first kiss, a single note or a symphony from the depths of the ocean, it does not matter, what matters is the experience thereof.
The current neurotransmitter perspective is…
“A dopamine hit, or dopamine rush, is the release of dopamine in the brain that occurs when you do something that feels good. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that’s part of the brain’s reward system, and it’s associated with feelings of pleasure, motivation, and alertness.” (AI generated)
This is merely a neurotransmitter over-lay to conceptually explain the older psychological thought of the “pain and pleasure” motivational behavioral response of the behaviorist school.
Subsequently to “the experience,” is the progression of the investigation of what the hell happened? Simple questions of what, when, where, why and how. How can we get another cookie… another hit of dopamine? But in the chasing the dragon (addiction) we do not recognize we are getting stuck wandering around in the past. Which is not necessarily a bad thing… IF we learn something that will assist us to where we want to go in the future. So, it comes back around to the primacy of the question. The quality and articulation of the question determines the quality of the answer. So, what are you going to do NOW?
Attention
Guided meditation and hypnosis can lead a person to an experience. Self-induced hypnosis and meditation are techniques lead your attention to experience. Once experienced, you can be nothing but your experience. Are you experienced… and enjoying yourself… or not? Who will lead you? And who will you follow?
Yet seriously, how can a person ask or know what is a great question, when a person does not know? “Ahh great question… (cringe…eh yuk).” Perhaps it is simply an observation of your reflection upon the mirror of your consciousness?
Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was not a Buddhist. When asked what he was, he responded “I am awake.” He just pointed towards the way. Others noted the path was mainly mental or logical precepts or rules of techniques and skills.
A conscious person understands the world is a mirror to master themself. The unconscious person attacks the mirror.
One who looks out, dreams. One who looks in, awakens.
Perversities…
The Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad (1899) and subsequently “Apocalypse Now” Francis Ford Coppola (1979). “The horror, the horror” is referenced as the descent into madness, and darkness in humans. But what is this darkness? Is the darkness of the realm of what is happening… or could it be, the inability to see and be the opportunity of light that shines brighter in the darkness. Is the horror failing to change. Is the horror the free-will choose… or not. Or is the horror of what will you do NOW?
Blessings,
Tim
