Consciousness, Free Will, and the Dark Veil

A discussion of consciousness as a tool of free will to deal with the thickened veil of separation.

The Veil and Free Will

What if “free will” is an opportunity to discover the divine? But has become a veil of separation and ignorance? Which is the free will to ignore or not recognize nor acknowledge our divinity. Have we created a thickened veil of separation between our earthy experience and the divine? Have we used free will in service of the ego’s self-empowerment instead of an opportunity to discover and experience the divine?

In a sense, free will has created a thickened veil or a separation between the divine and our earthly experience. Resulting in a dark veil of distortions. Unable and difficult to remember or recognize our inherent divinity? Perhaps those who are attached to an ego-centric way of being have obfuscated our inherent divinity, which has created confusion and bewilderment. And thus, have only offered a prescribed pathway of divinity according to their religious (cultural) traditions, which frequently involves a hierarchy or linage, such as an apostolic succession. Most spiritual traditions note a prescribed process of enlightenment. Which may take an almost infinite number of lifetimes to accomplish and only gotten by the teaching and blessings of some ordained master.

Karma Cutting Through the Thickened Veil

Souls re-incarnate to plod along the path of learning and applying lessons. As a soul is birthed into the earthly plane. In the process of incoming/re-incarnating, souls bring in both their karmic propensities. And become sticky with the veil’s darkened residue. i.e., biases, propensities, or karma of the time and experience of the cultural zeitgeist and the larger cycles, such as the Yugas.

Karmic Levels of Opportunity

Of course, karma has four levels of opportunity. First, karma is done to a person (a victim). Second, karma is done for a person (to learn). Third, the release of karma is done through a person (i.e., the application of the lessons). And fourth, karma is merely to tool in which to master experience and as an opportunity or portal to the “next level experience.” Going beyond the earthly delights and hells. And so on, through the infinity of heavens and hells, Buddha fields, godly realms, etc.

Consciousness

What is consciousness? Consciousness is extremely difficult to define, determine, and to declare its nature. Perhaps it is best left for each person to figure out in relationship (relative) to who they are, for what and at their level of progression, i.e., to be self-determined. To be self-determined (free will) works both ways. To be or not to be sovereign and having free-will.

What if consciousness was merely a tool? A tool of awareness (recognition), of experience (a mirror), and of discovery (an opportunity) to rise from the mud and become and be divine. I.e., to be self-referent. It is basically the journey of returning home to the divine (the goal of enlightenment) to be and to be whatever/whoever/however one determines themselves to be. The paths and processes of becoming divinely conscious of the divinity of oneself and the divinity of all… or not.

Consciousness as a Tool of Free Will

Consciousness as a metaphor of a tool. A tool cloud and thicken the veil or to surgically to cut through the darkened veil and reveal a clear channel, path, or portal to establish (being in) a direct connection to our divine inheritance, i.e., divinity.

Free will is the capacity and is the ability to decide. But most importantly requires the action of a decision. This presumes the ability to be conscious. And though consciousness and ability thereof, lies on an infinite spectrum of being able to understand the situations and choices available in which to decide. Consequently, it does not matter what you decide. What matters is that you experience, learn and change because of your decision.

For example, there are levels of consciousness. That is first the awareness of having a choice, understanding the situation of the choice and perhaps potential consequences. In psychology, there are concepts of “stimulus/response, learned behavior, subconscious programing, neuro-muscular pathways, cognitive patterning/biasing, heuristic models, etc.” All which have differences of understanding and awareness. For instance, the marketing and advertising uses the psychology of influence. If one does not know or understand the dynamics used to sell; they have a limited ability to be conscious of their range or options of choice. Whereas if a person is aware and understands the influences, they might have a different response or choice. However, if our ability to understand, decide and presume the consequences of our choices may be limited, clouded or not quite clear because of the veil of free-will have not been dissipated, dissolved and clear.

Motivation and Learning

Our choice or free will presumes we know (or do not know) what might happen or will probably happen. Therefore, we have a kind of motivation, ownership, or responsibility for choosing what might happen. However, there is no guarantee that what we choose will be what happens. Despite this being a deep rabbit hole, simplistically it comes back to motivation. Are we motivated by the carrot or the stick, pain or pleasure, love or fear? This is simply learning (via consciousness and experience). Are we motivated by the avoidance of pain and searching/getting pleasure? Thus, with more experience and learning we have more consciousness. Ideally, having free-will to discover, understand, become and to be self-determined and sovereign… ultimately to recognize and to be divine.

The Juxtaposition

The juxtaposition is not knowing what will happen. What is one to do? Choose to see what happens. Despite limited ability to know what will actually happen. And yet on-the-other-hand, knowing full well that we do not know what will happen… knowing that we can respond to what happens. It is the “now” moment of our response; is the moment of creation. Last week, I noted that our response to what happens sets up what will happen next. It is like the idea of pre-cognition, i.e., “by knowing our response, we know our reality. Therefore, the issue is, what response does one choose?

The Inner Pathway

By the study (reflection and meditation) of our responses, we come to know and master our responses. And in mastering our responses, we become creators of our reality.

Back to Consciousness as a Tool

The tool of consciousness has several aspects of use… like a hammer can destroy and create. Yet the trick is how the hammer is used by the user. It is the user’s knowledge, skills and use in clearly seeing the situation, knowing the potential thereof, having the skill and efficient application/participation which will reveal the creative wonder. Such as Michelangelo’s revealing of or releasing “David” from a block of granite. A gardener uses their consciousness as a tool and process to dig, clear away, plant, grow, create and reveal a wonderful garden that provides beauty, food, an environment for birds, bees, worms, etc.

What is Energy?

Currently, some note the fresh energy as light, plasma in crystalline form. Whatever the new form of energy, it is with consciousness one has the potential in DNA/light coding, software program which is uncorrupted, and the bugs have been resolved. In a sense, with the combination of two tools (forms), i.e., consciousness (male) and energy (female), perhaps it is like creating a high frequency-light-scalpel that can separate or removes the heavy residuals of the veil. Thus, allowing rejuvenation, reconnection and transformation of our existence. It is not a building per se but a revealing of a higher ordered range of potential as ethos, spiritually, metaphysically, culturally, physically and decorum wise (a ground of being). A revealing of our divine sovereignty, compassion, and grace, i.e., love in which we can create a new experience and existence.

For example: Consciousness as a metaphorical tool of a “frequency light scalpel.” We can use consciousness as a tool, a method/skill and beingness as a way we can plant, nurture, and appreciate the harvest and fruits of a new existence or garden.

The point is that consciousness is a tool. It is the master that uses the tool of consciousness to create and destroy reality. In each fabled moment of pulsing (in- and-out of existence at 22 trillion times per second). Both infinite and singular realms flow without end or beginning. A new existence happens in the blink of an I. Just some thoughts to consider.

Blessings
