A discussion of experience.
The Head is the Who and Why of Experience?
Experience… we all have it. The question is what to do about it? Why do we have experience? A simple way to think about this is the following. Experience defines us. In that, via experience we discover who we are. We do this mainly by first feeling and experiencing. And then later, we might think about the experience… and perhaps consider other ways of experiencing. Thus, resulting in a novel experience.
The What and When of Experience?
An experience happens then a moment later, we conceptualize what it was. The thinking and conceptualizing cements or solidifies the experience in our memory of what it was. It is the head is processing the experience (more later). Which enables us to reference, re-experience and re-visit the experience.
How?
How is the matter of consciousness and attention. In the event of an experience, an experience is infinite. But what we are conscious of is a minute part of an infinite experience. This minute experience is because of the limiter or governor of conscious attention. However, we can open our attention to expand our experience. The risk is getting lost in the expanse. Or we narrow our focus to a laser attention. Drilling down into the minutia and details. The risk is getting trapped in the minutia.
Our primal response to an experience heavily influences consciousness and attention. And consciousness and attention also influence our primal responses. Fear or love are the primal drive and response. Both love and fear are huge rabbit holes. Yet, there is a third response of equanimity. Of course, equanimity requires consciousness and attention. It is equanimity which reveals and allows the opportunity to choose one’s experience. (LINKS)
Time and Flow
Relative to time, there are past and future experiences. It is the “what” versus the potential of what. “Now” is where we have and create our experience. Creation is merely when and where we experience (discover and define). It is the “I am” creator experience. However, it is merely a person’s consciousness which is focusing on a specific experience from the infinity of the experience. In a sense, all experience already exists in the moment. We choose our experiences from countless possibilities. Historically and conceptually noted as the “alpha and omega.” Or the contemporary notion of the “condensate form,” i.e., experience of the singular versus the quantum of experience. An example is the entire spectrum of light (energy) exists and is available. However, the human eye can only see a very limited part of the spectrum.
Faces of Time
The concept of the three faces of time; past, present, and future are just snapshots taken of the flow. If a person is holding on to the past, the flow becomes interrupted; constipated and swirling in the eddy of what has already happened. Whereas the future is the soup of potentials; a mental masturbation of “what if’s?”
Womb
However, it is in the womb’s crucible where the experience resides. The womb contains the expanse of the experience. The feelings, minutia, and can rebirth, enliven and bring into existence another form of the experience.
Axis: As Bold as Love
On one axis, there is the head, heart and womb. And on a perpendicular axis, you have a spectrum of left/right, female/male, light/dark, etc. Then, in space and time, there is a dynamic which spins, swirls, waxes and wanes in an ebb and flow in dynamic rhythmic pulse of emerging and collapsing rhythm. Where is and what happens at the zero point?
Heart
The heart is the crossroad or zero point of experience. The creation, creator and the experience. And “now” is the moment of the creation, discovery, and experience. Divinity is presence, being and experience. The experience of whatever happens is divine. It is the divine expressing itself, through itself and for itself to discover, create and experience itself. It is the heart of creation… regardless being of light or dark, left or right, higher or lower. This is simply because in space and time there is no true orientation but that of the heart.
The challenge is to drop out of the ego. I.e., the small individual or singular ego-self. And experience something “that is happening.” Yet this happening is a very narrow or minute experience of the expanse of what is available. And BE at the crossroads of the heart.
Guess?
The head, womb, left and right are the forces at play. We create and shape our experiences through our free will. The navigational tool is free will. For some folks, this is terrifying and others wondrous. Yet despite whether being terrifying or wondrous it is just a matter of opportunities and an experience to learn (karma) how to use our existence.
Initially, we are unaware, ignorant of our experiences. Eventually, we become aware of our experiences through the mirror of and the myriads of experiences. We eventually notice and realize there are patterns, characteristics and rules to our experiences; often thought as karma. Once we master the ability to experience our experiences. We can consciously surrender, become and flow the moment of an infinite experience.
The heart of experience is all that happens.
Blessings,
Tim
