Turning Point of Being
Turning points are equated with change. When a person cannot recognize the turning points, one often falls prey to being a victim. Yet if one can recognize and expect turning points, one can find great opportunities. Even though a turning point seems to be a substantial, underlying is the circle or cycle. Thus, there are innumerable turning points in a circle/cycle.
In life there are infinite points of change. Most are minuscule, but quietly builds up to be magnificent. The trick is to know and recognize the build-up to a significant point of change. In the human experience, history notes there are many rituals and stories of significant changes. History frequently tells of the influential pivot point(s). The foot notes may show the factors, dynamics leading up to a tipping point. The resulting consequences provide dust covered discussions and re-interpretations.
We are often raised to think and are subsequently biased about sudden or unexpected change. However, if a person learns to recognize the subtleties of change, the big pivot points become expected and later observed via the dust covered reflections of history.
Are We There Yet?
Not to get into the weeds, currently there are many thoughts and indicators that we are near an inflection point that will cause an enormous change. Whether a person is attentive to climate, economics, politics, science, social movements, etc. Something is awry. In a sense, the discussion is from the position of driving from the backseat and now screaming that we are about to crash. Well, who has been driving this wreck? Trick question: it doesn’t matter who, how and why. What matters are we, you, and I going to do something about it?
No longer can we afford the extravagance of the past or the future. Much of what is happening on this planet, is that our way of living improved enough that we have become lost in our extravagance and blind to the results. And oblivious to our sovereign agency. We are we trapped in our gilded and soiled cage of our own making? The horror of “oh shit” incessantly pokes us to awaken.
Awaken!
Past is but memory, the future mere imagination. Now it is time to BE. To show up beyond our biggest little selves!
Every moment is a turning point. Notable turning points are sunrise and sunset. Earth has four, spring, summer, fall and winter. Sister moon also has four phases, new, waxing quarter, full, and waning quarter. In life, there are the big turning points of death and birth. But there are an infinite number of turning points between. Such as the points between in-breath and out-breath. The entanglement of spirit into the material and the release of spirit from the physical. The coronation of kings and queens and the rise and fall of their empires. Likewise, galaxies spin as do the electrons… infinitely pulsing in and out of existence.
The Seers
Human culture and its rituals frequently hid the esoteric symbolism and instruction of turning points as opportunities in the flow/movement of change (i.e. the turning). A prime example is the Tao/Dao and the I Ching. Yet every culture has its shaman, crones, mystics and avatars. Yet few pay attention unless it’s too late and are suffering from the weight of their foolishness, having only focused on the mundane, or perhaps willfully ignorance?
The Instantaneous Movement of Endless Being
The sense of time is the flow and movement of constant change. Waxing and waning, grasping and letting go are the movements. The threshold of pulsing existence is always now. It is the self-evident audacious act to BE. Letting go who we thought we were and letting go of whom we might be. Is it not time to be? The opportunity to show up big, to recognize that it is us who are the divine opportunity.
What is Truly the Opposite of Being?
We can only be. Being self-evident is sovereign, but only in our relationships. Our existence is only in relationship to something that is not us. However, “the other” is not required to acknowledge us in its existence (because it does not exist). But we need to acknowledge “the other” if we are “to be.” The challenge is to acknowledge, appreciate, and accept the other… as it IS a part of us. That is to see, know, and accept the “other” regardless of the good, bad, and ugly. The deep wound, “the original sin,” is the division of the one, into two. It is not the division, but the “judgement” of the division that gives us the sinful (separate) issue of not being in union/yoked. The birth of the two (i.e., the other) was the great revelation, eating fruit from the tree of knowledge. This enabled the one (each one of us) to see and experience ourselves. Have we now reached the opportunity to see (recognize) the divinity of all of us? The self and others being divinely in union again.
The division of one into two, is also the opportunity to discover, to become and to be. Scattered amongst infinite heavens and hells the way, (the path) emerges. The challenge is to understand the change is the pulse of the “I am, to we are, to I am, to we are”… infinitum. Being is the path. Being sovereign, compassionate and graceful is the way/wei to transcend, revelation (to remember). Transcendence is a simple “lather, rinse and repeat” pattern of expanding/collapsing (pulsing). Interestingly transcendence is both unity and a fractal like splitting; an alchemical process. Infinitely splitting and unifying to reveal more elusive and subtle characteristics or essences. Revealed is not only the self and the other in the split. But more importantly, the revelation of the transcendent observer, e.g., the “witness” of both our rising and falling. Who witnesses the pulse of being?
The Infinity Twist
The twist is like a “Klein Bottle or Mobius Strip.” While becoming divinely united again. There is also the concurrent shattering into an infinity of fractal shards. Instantly creating infinite multi-dimensional opportunities. An infinitum of revealing, uniting, and transcending. Divinity is not a state, but also the flow of being, i.e., to be.
The Singular Point
The point of this post is to encourage folks to become mindful of the pulse of being. To recognize the gaps in the pulse. The infinite turning points which are just moments to be. In the pause, the gaps between the pulsing, are infinite pregnant opportunities to be. The creator, sustainer, destroyer, and liberator are impulses of the divine. The folly and foible of being, is whatever we desire, we are and whatever we are, we also are not… lol. And that is the heaven and hell of it… according to Buddha. And I suspect will be the challenge with our emerging psychic/quantum realm of being.
The Lotus Being
Self-awareness is the seed that germinates, carrying a delicate impression of the lotus. Germinating in the depths. Rooted in mud. Inner reflections of the seed draw life from the decay. Mindfulness rises through the mire. Compassion and grace silently float on dharmic waters. A thousand radiant pedals unite unseen light. Quietly vanishing, unseen. The Lotus Being.
