A House Keeping Matter:
Over the past few months, there has been an increase of gremlins and shenanigans to deal with such as my emailer, FB, YT, and such. Proactively, I encourage everyone to just “bookmark” www.LoveChangeGrow.com in their browser. Thus, folks can maintain their sovereignty, reasonable anonymity, without algorithmic/digital encumbrances and remain affordably free (both to you and to keep my cost to a minimum). I wonder if these new “shenanigans” are evidence of gaining traction with you all and irritating the old guard. Feel free to share LoveChangeGrow with others as you deem appropriate.
Grateful for and Love Ya’ll!
And now… Love and Change In the Blink of an I
This week’s post is about the “I” of the beholder. It’s the “I” which changes. In the blink of an eye everything changes. As the “I” changes, the world changes.
Change can happen in an instant. You don’t need to do all kinds of preparation and fancy stuff. Sure, it might help, but is not required. What is required? The only thing required is you. To use your sovereign free will and decide to change. It is not merely your willingness to change. But to change, to cross the gap into something new… to change yourself… your I. https://lovechangegrow.com/what-is-your-superpower/
An interesting thing happens when you cross the gap of change. You recognize that you already had everything you need to change. It requires nothing more. Perhaps it’s your will to allow change? Is all it takes. A decision of allowance to be. To be the change you want.
You can spend a lifetime in preparation. Endless yoga, dieting, exercising, meditating, listening to gurus, reading scriptures, apps, etc. Eating the whole taco. But it is not required. What is required is to be open. To open up, allow, and surrender. It is a work-around which can avoid going through the breakdown. All you need is to be open. You don’t even need to break open. Just decide to surrender and receive. Decide to surrender, be open, become/be the flow. The flow in change and change in the flow. You don’t even need to know where you’re going. You don’t need to know how, when, where, what or why. All you need to do/be is open and allow change to happen. All and more are provided. Essentially (symbolically) Jesus’ statement of “pick up your cross and follow me,” is simply making your decision (cross) and do what I do (follow me)… (no need to be me… you be you).
Maybe this is contrary to popular notions. Masters have made similar statements. “You are the change. Be the change you wish for. All you need is within. Follow me.” All that is required is a simple decision. You need your wits (head) to believe, experience and to know. Does the heart not know when it experiences? Not that you can’t nor that you must study, sit in a cave or be in service. You don’t need all this. Pick up your bag/cross (responsibility to decide) and throw away your crutches and walk. This is a metaphor of instructions and teaching to change. Decide and change. It is your free will. No one can decide for you. It is your sovereignty and free well. You are the one which decides to change.
In some ways, the more informed and educated the more difficult it is to drop the known for knowing not (unknown). It is because the more person studies, one has become indoctrinated, programed and developed neuro-pathways that have become hard wired. All of which are helpful in becoming accomplished. Yet can also be a hinderance when you want to progress, move beyond and change.
The Way of Breathing
On this planet, a basic way to change is breathing. Since we exist by breathing and already know how to breathe. An easy way to change is to notice your breath. Thus, a simple change of our breath can change your reality. The concept that we are transformers of our energy. And that breath connects us to both our internal and external reality. Consciousness is the transformer. Look at the breath as the pump. A pump the brings in energy and sends out energy. In a sense, it is a pulsing of reality.
The cycle of breath is inhalation, a gap, exhalation, a gap and then repeats.
The inhalation is bringing in, receiving, and accepting the energy. Which is a yin or “female position.” Between, the inhalation and exhalation of the breath is a gap where we transform the energy via our consciousness/awareness. Followed by our exhalation, where we send, share or radiate out a transformed energy. Which is the yang or “male action.” Furthermore, we can send and receive energy via the heart (chakra) which has an enormity (amplitude) of energy. Also we can receive and transmit energy via other chakras, influencing various aspects of our internal and external reality.
In other post have presented the idea that we are, i.e., our consciousness is a transformer of energy. Actually we are transceivers. We can both receive and transmit (broadcast, send, radiate, share) energy. Our nervous (nerves) system are like a huge antenna that can detect and transmit subtle energy. And there are the parallel systems of thought, e.g., chakra, acupuncture, energy, reiki, chi, etc.
The gap between the out breath and in breath is where we change positions from transmitting (yang/male) to opening, receiving and surrendering (yin/female). The breathing in, we accept and transform energy within via our consciousness. And then breathing out the transformed energetic expression, the masculine action. A representation of the pulsing (frequency) cycles of reality. It is a way of synchronizing and flowing with change.
There are also the gaps of sunrise and sunset, starting and finishing, etc. These gaps are opportunities for intuition, intention, imagination and for gratefulness, appreciation, and joy. It is easy. The only issue is of awareness, remembering and flowing with the waxing and waning of the cycles of change. We can use both the sun and moon as daily markers.
Creators
Metaphorically, understanding that we are creators of our reality. We could breathe in whatever the quality of energy. Because the “quality” is an illusion of our own making (evaluation/judgement). We breathe it in and accept it. Metaphorically, in the acceptance, we realize it does not matter what we breathe in. In the acceptance (surrender… non-resistance) is changing the energy. The issue is the ability to observe with equanimity, accept without judgement (vipassana meditation technique) and allow the energy to release into flow/love, like surrender. Remember, if we resist, it persists. There are those who can breathe in darkness, hate, fear, etc. and understand its energy and not be affected by it via equanimity and non-attachment. This is because they do not attach nor resist it. Thereby, are able to gracefully accept, understand, and be compassionate. Thus, in compassion and gracefulness are able to transform or release the energy’s confinement of being in darkness, fear, etc. So that the energy can move (resolve or release) toward light and love. Energy wants to resolve (or to flow) with love. Flow is expansion; love is expansion!
The Way of the Head
The way of the head is taught and learned. We can attain a level where we can absorb or can transform darkness, pain, and suffering. In a sense, one is allowing the experience of fear, pain and suffering to “express and experience itself.” Fear, pain, suffering, etc. is the opportunity of expression and experience which brings awareness. One notices fear, pain, and suffering… and then has the awareness (realizes) they can do something about it. This is the basic tenet of Buddhism’s “Four Noble Truths.” Thus, with the expression/experience of fear, pain, and suffering. Then with what is basically a meditative, psychological, or pragmatic-logistical approach of using one’s head and wits. A person learns how to resolve (change) fear energy to flow love. There are countless models, systems, approaches to do this; yoga, meditation, chakras, hypnosis, tantra, alchemy, yantra, mantra, mandalas, etc. In a sense, learning how to work with fear energy without resistance. It is being able to ground out the resistance in order to move/flow toward joy and love. To bless and express during the breathing it out (exhale). Is this the OM and/or the Word of God?
The Way of the Gut
The way of the gut is the Aboriginal process and expression via intuition (direct-knowing) intuitive symbolism and storytelling. It is the experience of growing up and being surrounded by the ancestors, elders and the idea of pantheism https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/pantheism/ and close to the conception of panacea https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panacea.
It is recognizing that there has always been a connection to all the relatives; “Mitakuye Oyasin.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitakuye_Oyasin. Many know of the vision quest or rite of passage for males. Which is the revealing of a community beyond themselves. And for females the invitation, inclusion, or acceptance into the community. Recognizing that all is part of and an expression of themselves. That is learning the ways of weaving community and reality.
The Way of the Heart
The way of the heart is about feeling. It is the direct experience of feeling. Feeling does not need the mental macerations of the intellect or head. The heart feels and thus it is experienced. Feelings don’t need to make sense or be logical. Yet feelings are sensible in the truth of symbols, poetics, and in the imaginal world of connections. The way of the heart is of what is popularly known as the amorphous right brain capacity versus the logical left brain processes. For example, a simple technique is being heart centered at your two daily “gaps.” The gaps are at the very beginning of awakening and at dropping off to sleep. Both are transitioning gaps in the sleep-awake cycle. The technique is to comfortably lay quietly on your back, with hands gently placed over your heart. Traditionally noted in some yogic perspectives as the “death pose” but instead of your hands laying gently with palms up and to the side of your body. Your palms gently lay cross and over your heart with your eyes softly closed. In this “heart space” you can imagine, intuit, intention, and/or be grateful, joyful appreciation, and love. You can share, send, and share (masculine)… or surrender/receive (feminine) intuitions, guidance, insights, etc. Basically, these are times of and opportunities to set the intention and create new realities… both internally and externally.
Change occurs in the blink of an eye or I
It is the start of change. It is merely a decision, an action of free will and sovereignty. And so far on this planet, is also a school of responsibility and action. Which with a tad of a process, effort, and time all things change. The great thing is with a bit of knowledge, effort, and consciousness… things can happen relatively quickly. Especially with a bit of critical mass of the populace. What shall we make of our world?
It is curious that it perhaps only takes a handful of monkeys to change the behavior of all the monkeys (The Hundredth Monkey Effect). Though the Morphic Field effect has its skeptics and critics, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hundredth_monkey_effect). On the other hand, the concept of the “rate of adoption curve” makes sense in the study of marketing, i.e., the influence on human behavior. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technology_adoption_life_cycle). Ah the tug between the past and the future. But the magic happens in between them. In the gap of change.
Past, Present and Future is Now
The past… quickly fades if there is a primary focus on the future, relative to the past. Yet “the now” is the precedent. Now is the gap that allows us to move from the past to the future in an instant. The sense of “Now” has characteristics (experience) of “time distortion.” A time distortion of never ending or a single endless moment. Where the notion of “flow” can be both endlessly expansive and instantly collapse. The only difference is the response/perceptions of the experiencer. The new notion is that these moments of “now” are like a portal to enter another dimension or timeline. That once entering, becomes a wormhole/experience of expansion and/or contraction. The classic notions of being birthed/incarnated or released (death). Time is merely a matter of perspective. See time and space in a toilet paper roll. https://lovechangegrow.com/time-and-space-are-malleable/
Love is a Catalyst of Change
Below are several links out of an infinity of options. These are merely ways or perspectives to step into love (change).
Peace Pilgrim
Having had the fortune of meeting Peace Pilgrim several times, the last as a teenager. She was fascinating. One of God’s songbirds. Her only concern was to be where she was at and spreading songs of peace. Peace wrote a short handbook of her thoughts about living peacefully. It is a direct approach to living moment to moment. A few moments of consideration are well worth it in these times.
